So when I came across this berry smoothie from Turnips 2 Tangerines, I knew I had to make it. But, the decision didn't come easy, I guarantee. From the Mexican coffee, Dulce De Leche Krispy Treats, to the cinnamon swirl bread and let's not forget about the sour dough blueberry muffins my mouth was watering, to say the least. But, since I'm always looking for quick and easy snacks and meals both for myself and my little guy, I knew I had to make this smoothie.
Mixed Berry Smoothie
2 Cups frozen mixed berries, I used blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries
1 Cup Greek yogurt, plain or flavored
1 Cup apple juice
1/2 Cup loosely packed spinach
Protein powder, if desired
Honey, if desired
Combine berries, yogurt, juice, spinach and protein powder in the blender. Pulse until all ingredients are incorporated and mixture is smooth. Taste, add honey if desired and serve.
